It's been a while since I last finished a painting, mostly due to the fact I was moving. But we've settled in enough and finally I had time to finish the next painting of the Potter-Project Dobby's Warning.

It's not my favorite painting of the series thus far, but I'm still happy with it. Next painting is going to be a The Wonderful Wizard of Oz painting, then on to chapter three of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets !

I've been going back through all the older posts and I've cleaned up a ton of them. I'm removing any that have broken images, broken links, deleted journals, deleted icons, deleted photobuckets, etc etc etc!!! So when you browse through, you should only find UNLOCKED posts with WORKING icons in them. If I missed any (I'm still not quite done, only got to Feb of 2008 so far :P), send me the post in a comment or something and I'll see if it needs deleting.

Also, something I saw a lot of and REALLY can't stand......


How is posting teasers and a link to your community NOT advertising?

Example:

"Hey guys, 25 winter icons for you:

(insert teasers here)

Click HERE to go to my journal (link to personal journal, NOT a post with icons)"

It's advertising, it's not supposed to be here, it gets deleted. I don't care if you add your personal journal to the post, if the icons are actually posted to your journal and you link to them from here.. I do mind if you're only here posting teasers for the sole purpose of promoting your journal. We don't wanna see that....... WE WANNA SEE THE ICONS!!!!!! :P

My big thing is... when I click the link in your post, I wanna see icons! Everyone does! I don't wanna have to join your community... sift through every post to find the one with icons.. just link to the post with them in it!

Anyway, still deleting the annoying and broken posts :P and trying to get everything tagged so it's easier for everyone to browse!


P.S.: I just came across an old request for Canada Day icons. I don't know if anyone has posted any on here yet, but I don't know why they haven't yet xD Any Canadian icon makers out there? :P Feel free to post Canada Day icons (or any holiday/special day from any other country for that matter).

I was reading "Kristy and the Cat Burglar" last night when it dawned on me that this was another BSC book with Harriet the Spy in it. In this one, Charlotte acts like Harriet spying on people and gets in an argument with Vanessa and Becca about spying on them. Then, in BOTH "Baby-Sitters on Board" AND "Baby-Sitters' Winter Vacation", Mallory acts like Harriet, spying on her friends. In "Claudia's Freind Freind", Harriet the Spy is mentioned when Claudia keeps a secret diary snarking on Stacey. Finally, (that I know of), Kristy wanted Harriet the Spy to be her fourth grade play, so she could be Harriet, which is in "Claudia's Book". Wow. So that's five BSC books that mention Harriet the Spy. Has anybody else noticed this? What other books or pop culture has been mentioned more than once in the BSC series?
